David Nutter: On Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles

"I thought the Terminator films were perfect for a conventional series.
What happens after Arnold goes into the steel soup in the second film? What's going to happen to Sarah and John Connor?
What is their journey going to be from that moment until Armageddon? That, to me, is a wonderful story to be told and that is the story of a young boy growing up and becoming the leader of the resistance.
How does he go from that young boy to that man?
What is the journey he must take?"
-David Nutter, SciFiNow #18, p.65-

David Nutter thoughtfully reflects on the possibilities of The Terminator franchise. Despite never being fully realized, after just a short first season and a second, the series did offer a window into what might have been.
