What Does The Fox Say?

So you've heard all the rage regarding the latest Euro-pop nugget?

The Fox (What Does The Fox Say?) is by two brothers under the name Ylvis.  Fortunately for us, and for them, the brothers are actually a comedy duo, more than bona fide pop geniuses.  The Ylvisaker brothers, Bard and Vegard, hail from Bergen, Norway.



At this point, I think it's still safe to say that a-ha is still the best band to ever hail from the northern country to make legitimately great pop music.  If you discounted a-ha after their number one Billboard hit sensation Take On Me (1984) and the recording of their Hunting High And Low (1985), well, you really never gave them a chance.  They are far better than you might expect notching nine diverse and finely crafted productions concluding with Foot Of The Mountain (2009).  But, that's a post for another day.

Yesterday we learned just how invasive the aforementioned Ylvis track really is.  The One To Be Pitied brought home a first grade writing assignment for grading. See Picture. How funny is that? Yes, you know the old saying that you can't write this stuff. Well, apparently you can and a first grader did.  I told her she should go back and tell the young person- Yip, yip, yip, yip, yip yip, yip.  It's utterly, ridiculously, irresistibly contagious as much as it is stupid.  Still, that little writing assignment about killed me with a smile.

The Fox (What Does The Fox Say?) has clearly captured the attention of American children everywhere.

Yes, a true sign of the apocalypse to be sure and the advent of a glut of book reports to come on foxes for all those teachers.
