For your viewing pleasure here on FAB FRIDAY the 13th, I have delivered you the remaining images captured by the trusty Sony camera during my look at Jonathan Frakes' take on Thunderbirds (2004).



These images are the best thing about the film, because parts simply don't add up to a substantive sum.  I've watched it for you so you don't have to.  Certainly checking it out for yourself is the way to go.  But there was hardly anything F-A-B about the attempt at all things wonderful from the world of Gerry Anderson and Sylvia Anderson and that's such a shame and a missed opportunity.



When you consider the long trail of decimated properties it can seem like a tragic war zone.  A trail of devastation has been left in the wake of so many projects. Fans of the original properties are often generally scarred as they look back on the carnage.



Re-works like Land Of The Lost (2009), Lost In Space (1998), The Bionic Woman TV series (2007), The Fog (2005), Godzilla (1998), Planet Of The Apes (2001), not to mention the re-imagining of Battlestar Galactica (2004-2009) f and the transformation of Starbuck from the sometimes misogynistic but lovable male to a female character (and boy I did love Katee Sackhoff), have certainly added insult to injury.



So Thunderbirds (2004) joins that aforementioned unlucky, less-than-prestigious position and its unenviable placement among the lot of positively disappointing remakes.



So what exactly did the cast of Thunderbirds do following this debacle?



Well, Brady Corbett went on to star in Mysterious Skin (2004) with Joseph Gordon-Levitt and guest on Season Five of 24 (2006).



Bill Paxton rebounded nicely with a role as patriarch and polygamist for HBO's Big Love (2006-2011).  I'm actually quite looking forward to The Colony (2013).



Anthony Edwards had a tough 2004 critically with Thunderbirds and The Forgotten (2004), but bounced back in David Fincher's Zodiac (2007) and a return to ER (2008).



The gorgeous Sophia Myles preceded Thunderbirds with Evolution (2003) and recovered when she starred in popular David Tennant-helmed Doctor Who entry The Girl In The Fireplace (2006).  Myles also featured in genre outing Outlander (2008) and will be appearing in Transformers 4: Age Of Extinction (2014).



The beautiful Vanessa Hudgens scored big with High School Musical (2006-2008) and continues to roll with films like Sucker Punch (2011).



And Ben Kingsley is always Ben Kingsley.  He delivered big before Thunderbirds with House Of Sand And Fog (2003) and follows with lemons like Suspect Zero (2005) and A Sound Of Thunder (2005).  Lemons and lemonade.  That's Ben Kingsley being Ben Kingsley.  Amazing.



And what of our beloved Genie Francis and Jonathan Frakes? Frakes, apart from appearing on Star Trek: Enterprise (2005), continues to be a successful television director and, to be honest, he's married to Genie Francis.  What more could you want?
