Suzan Farmer (1943-2017)

The absolutely delightful Suzan Farmer (1943-2017).

It's FAB FRIDAY friends and what better way to celebrate than look at one of the many beautiful faces to grace the world of Gerry And Sylvia Anderson's UFO.

English actress Suzan Farmer was the lovely lass whose presence became a highlight in UFO, Episode 5, Survival as the love interest to the ladies' superhunk Michael Billington.

The sexy, girl-next-door-vibe of Farmer, once married to actor Ian McShane from 1965-1968, generated some heat in a number of ITC productions including UFO, The Persuaders! and several episodes of The Saint. She also highlighted some of her greatest physical assets in a number of Hammer Horror films throughout the 1960s and opposite Christopher Lee on at least three occasions. Genre fans should know she fancied an appearance on Blake's 7 for Deliverance [1978].

So Suzan Farmer is easily a babe among babes ranking right alongside Gabrielle Drake, Wanda Ventham, Barbara Bain, Tracy Reed, Catherine Schell and Lady Penelope Creighton-Ward [yes, the puppet counts].

Truth be told I had a different entry in mind for today and toiled into the late night hours to complete it, but alas it was not to be. A number of sources offered me greater detail on the planned entry and it simply couldn't be rushed. These things take time and effort to assemble and I didn't want to do the FAB FRIDAY entry an injustice. Thus, it has been postponed until next week, but hopefully it's sure to be a special treat for fans of FAB FRIDAY and all things Gerry and Sylvia Anderson. Until then, nothing wrong with Suzan Farmer as I've discovered.

  2. UFO was a late discovery for me, but I have enjoyed it. Suzan was indeed a real beauty.

  3. She was truly stunning with an air of innocence about her (despite her sex appeal)...
