My 58 year-old self (having just re-watched it on Forces TV) feels that Foster should show a lot more remorse for the death of his co-pilot. He wasn't told to move out of that vicinity only because UFOs were secret, it was for his own safety. Staying put but both their lives at risk. So even if Janna wasn't his co-pilot's sister, she was right to suggest that the death was Foster's fault.F a t i m ahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10403399539190021938noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1031498593064294214.post-50240724252410765852016-04-18T11:25:35.473-04:002016-04-18T11:25:35.473-04:00Hello CP sir. I see Joan's book is still available out there on Amazon for those interested in reading more about these rare events. I think I may have to pick up that book myself.

I appreciate your visit sir. God bless you. The reviews haven't been particularly good for it, but it does sound SESNATIONAL. : )

Neverhteless, I love that UFO placed that much detail into the filming of that scene. It says alot about that show. Like any classic, The Wizard Of Oz, ST:TOS, UFO, Space:1999, Thunderbirds, there's just loads of meticulous loving detail.

Thanks for comment. I remember the odd-looking UFO on the cover. I have no idea how he got hold of it, and I can't remember a single thing about the contents, but it's odd to stumble upon it whilst randomly following links. Currently selling for $2.15 on Amazon.Ashley Pomeroyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09466311744358782337noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1031498593064294214.post-67084631562050278182010-11-13T12:43:08.302-05:002010-11-13T12:43:08.302-05:00Cheers John and L13.

Ugh.

Your inpur was interesting to me L13. I did not know all of those details. I really hadn't investigated Sheybal, but he is a fine actor. Cheers for the additional insight.

Thanks again for the support both of you.SFFhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04256589316922398158noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1031498593064294214.post-29073822039266496202010-11-13T11:08:32.482-05:002010-11-13T11:08:32.482-05:00Never saw this series, but thoroughly enjoyed read...Never saw this series, but thoroughly enjoyed reading the review, SFF. Also, it was great to see Vladek Sheybal pictured here. Kronsteen (FROM RUSSIA WITH LOVE) himself! He also did support acting in two John Milius films, THE WIND AND THE LION and RED DAWN. In the SHOGUN miniseries, too. Great character actor. Thanks for this, SFF.

p.s., I hope you're feeling better, my friend.le0pard13https://www.blogger.com/profile/09421175808461787862noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1031498593064294214.post-82150059655622198212010-11-13T10:11:09.376-05:002010-11-13T10:11:09.376-05:00SFF:

It is tough putting something together for the blog when you're sick!

But seriously, there's no sign of fatigue in this article. You did a bang-up job (as always).

Now, lock yourself up with a TV and some Farscape discs and get some rest.

All my best,
JohnJohn Kenneth Muirhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15629979615332893780noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1031498593064294214.post-27359422678661406432010-11-12T16:23:37.087-05:002010-11-12T16:23:37.087-05:00Boy John. I really can't tell you how happy I was to hear you enjoyed this one.

I haven't been feeling well and essentially pulled this together while under the weather.

I thought perhaps I didn't really articulate things as well as I should have or maybe didn't give the episode enough attention in the detail.

It was friday and I really wanted to get this one completed and thought I might not have been on top of my game, so my SINCERE thanks.

I know I was totally digging at those UFO designs. ha. Completely subjective on my part. I can see why people would adore them. Trust me, I have a diecast Galileo 7 on my desk. It's like the shape of a rectangle. I think it's the coolest ship in the world, but I'm sure there are a few who would disagree.

I know my friend John and I know he would be right there with me on the Galileo 7 though.

Also, I agree, I think UFO is a series that gets incrementally stronger as it progresses. It's a shame it lasted one year.

Thanks so very much John.
SFF

A little shout out TRAV28 too who is a big fan of the UFO style and I can understand why.SFFhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04256589316922398158noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1031498593064294214.post-63960115370034845922010-11-12T15:22:14.663-05:002010-11-12T15:22:14.663-05:00SFF:
Fantastic look back at "Exposed." ...SFF:

Fantastic look back at "Exposed."

And my goodness! -- great eyes finding that paperback book in the text of the show itself, recognizing it as a "real" book, and then noting how it is used. That clearly fits into what you aptly describe as "the artifice" angle of the series (is it real, or is it movie-studio trappings?)

Anyway, that's some amazing detective work, and a sign of your dedicated, thorough approach to these reviews. Very nice.

I'm not a huge fan of this episode, and I agree with your rating of B-. That's right on the money if you ask me. The series really kicks things into high gear with the last batch of episodes, but some of these earlier shows are somehow uneven; filled with great highs and great lows, as they say.

I think your commentary on the design of the Interceptor is hysterical...and dead-on. I've always wondered about this too: one shot, and nothing left? No machine guns, no missiles, nothing? What are you going to do, ram a UFO?

Then again, I have a die-cast metal Interceptor on my desk right now...:)

Thanks for a great return to FAB Friday, my friend!

regards,
JohnJohn Kenneth Muirhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15629979615332893780noreply@blogger.com
